With over a decade of experience, our team is passionate about protecting the rights of every child, empowering the youth in pursuit of their dreams for sustainable development.
We specialize in capacity building, advocacy, and policy improvement in the field of child protection and safeguarding youth empowerment and spreading message of hope. Through collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and communities, we create opportunities for children to thrive in safe and nurturing environments.

The term “Nafasi Yangu” is derived from Swahili, meaning space, chance, or opportunity. We are committed to establishing a secure environment for children by preventing and addressing violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect in various situations that jeopardize their well-being. Our actions are guided by the principle of prioritizing the best interests of the child.
We collaborate closely with children, families, and communities, as well as individuals who have experienced child abuse, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and leaders, to uphold children’s rights to safety. This is achieved through the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and strategies for addressing child protection and safeguarding challenges. Our efforts include working towards the establishment of safe and secure family units and facilitating access to temporary alternative care for children in urgent need of protection.
Nafasi Yangu – Africa seeks to influence changes in policy and practice related to safeguarding. We are grounded in local solutions and emphasize active participation, drawing on the voices of children, young people, and those with lived experiences as a means to impact communities and advocate for change. Our goal is to create both a local and global network dedicated to
safeguarding.
